Legal advice and legal protection
The SMV-USDAM General Secretariat offers free legal advice on questions directly related to the exercise of the profession of musician to both members and non-members, employees and employers, in particular in the following legal fields:
- general labour law
- collective labour law
- employment contract law
- labour law
- social insurance law
- neighbouring rights (“Recorded Performance”: everything to do with sound and audiovisual recording, production and broadcasting and other uses)
SMV-USDAM also runs a legal protection service that defends the interests of its members in the event of legal conflicts directly related to the exercise of their profession. The legal protection service only takes into consideration SMV-USDAM members.
Model contracts
SMV-USDAM offers its members model contracts for various areas of application. Individual counselling can be obtained at the General Secretariat.
Support in case of mobbing and sexual harassment
Everyone has the right to exercise their profession in a climate of safety, trust and respect. SMV-USDAM also offers legal advice on bullying and sexual harassment.
